The Pink Ribbon is an annual campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer that was launched in 1985. It originated in the USA and first appeared in France in 1994, on the initiative of Marie Claire magazine and the Estée Lauder group. This collaboration gave rise to the association Le Cancer du Sein, Parlons-en! Many years later, in 2020, the organisation simply changed its name to Ruban Rose.

From 1 October to 31 October each year, numerous campaigns are held to raise public awareness of breast cancer, inform people about the importance of early cancer detection and raise funds for research.

🍻 TOUR OF THE BREWERY from 10 am to 6 pm: discover all the secrets of beer making!

🍻  BREWING INITIATION: 2 brewing demonstration workshops at 9am and 2pm. (Registration required, see link below)

🍻🧀 BEER/CHEESE TASTING WORKSHOP:

Tasting of 2 beers / 2 cheeses, in partnership with the cheese dairy @chezpaulineandco ( participation €5), from 2 to 6 pm.

🍻🥧 CAKE MAKING WORKSHOP: sweet or savoury with draff, from 2 to 6 pm.

🍻🐷  La @ferme_delamassinie will be present with its delicious gourmet boards to taste!

🧮 WOODEN GAMES for fun with family and friends all day long.

Join us for 3 days of festivities and wonder at the 1st edition of the ‘Festival of Bastides and Wine in Périgord’!

Immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of the bastides of the Dordogne, these medieval jewels offering you a real journey back in time. History comes to life in 8 bastides, where you can share unforgettable moments and discover the very essence of the local terroir, with its heritage, gastronomy and traditions. Enjoy the sweetness of autumn and let yourself be seduced by the gourmet flavours of our producers. Stroll along the cobbled streets... Every moment of this festival is an invitation to experience real emotions, connect with history and celebrate the richness of our heritage.

The event will take place in eight historic bastides in the Dordogne: Monpazier, Domme, Beaumontois-en-Périgord, Eymet, Molières, Lalinde, Saint-Aulaye-Puymangou and Vergt. Two guests of honour are also taking part in this event, offering a wide variety of activities and visits for all to enjoy: Quai Cyrano and the Château de Biron.

This new cultural and gastronomic event, with its two large gourmet banquets, will mark the end of the tourist season with three days of festivities and entertainment in the heart of these 13th and 14th century fortified villages. The ‘Fête des Bastides et du Vin’ is a unique opportunity to (re)discover these medieval towns in a new, festive format. We look forward to seeing you there!
