The five senses will be in the spotlight during these Rendez-vous aux jardins 2024: olfactory quiz, drawing, tactile research... our special animation will make you (re)discover the garden like never before!

Every year on the first weekend in June, the Rendez-vous aux Jardins take place, a national day celebrating the parks and plants that surround us.

In connection with the theme of the Rendez-Vous aux Jardins, in the year of the ‘5 senses’, the team of the Jardins Panoramiques de Limeuil offers you on these two days animations and surprises around aromatic and medicinal plants at reduced prices. An exceptional weekend to discover the gardens!

On Saturday, 1 and Sunday, 2 June from 10 am to 6.30 pm

In a hydrodistillation workshop, you can take a look behind the scenes of the production of hydrolates and essential oils and stimulate your senses in the process: Let yourself be carried away by birdsong, the buzzing of bees, the spectacle of the floral splendour and, of course, the scents of this garden!

"Bergerac en scène" will animate the entire town with 14 professional and amateur theatre companies, each of which will be given a space in the heart of the historic town as the venue for their performance. A record for this third edition!

On Saturday 8 June 2024, the 70th anniversary of the Vinée Consulate will be celebrated in the heart of Bergerac! A parade of consuls and bands, wine tasting, products from the Périgord, musical and theatrical performances are on the programme for this historic day in honour of Bergerac wines!

PROGRAMME

10 to 11.30 am: Parade of consuls through the town of Bergerac, accompanied by the band "Bande de Copains".

Start: Quai Cyrano, Place Cayla.

11.30 am to 12.30 pm: Free of charge, open to the public, Place Pélissière.

As part of the inauguration of the first section of the "Vézère à vélo" between Saint-Chamassy and Les Eyzies, the Communauté de Communes is organising a day-long celebration in  Le Bugue on Saturday 15 June 2024.

From 10 am to 5 pm, you can enjoy a variety of free events for the whole family! Spectacle, bike fair, commented excursions, cross-rolling...

Highlight of the day: at 11.30 am, the first section of the Voie Verte "La Vézère à Vélo" cycle route will be officially inaugurated.

Drinks and snacks on site throughout the day.

5.30 pm: Performance of ‘Premier Empire’ by the  "Théâtre du Roi du Coeur“

A performance about Napoleon is to take place. The audience sits and waits. But the main actor doesn't have the strength to go on stage. The clown lurking backstage seizes her chance and steps into the light, determined to conquer the audience.

Come and celebrate music in Périgueux ! There's a whole host of concerts in the city centre, where you can discover amateur and professional musicians, and wander from square to square enjoying a wide range of musical styles. All over the city!

We will try to re-programme the bands at a later date.

An invitation to celebrate summer, the longest days and the solstice and enjoy an evening by the riverside.

From 7 pm: food trucks, concert with Sanfuego (gypsy rumba) and dancing.

10.30 pm: "L'œuf du Phénix" performance by Cie Silex | A mysterious egg will transform until its final ignition during the night! Come in advance of the day to deposit your secrets anonymously in a box. They will then be placed in the egg to go up in smoke in a liberating inferno.

The very first edition of PECHARMANT GOURMAND is launched!

But what exactly is it?

It is the association of a few Pecharmant winegrowers for an event open to the general public.

What is on offer on this occasion?

Wine and gastronomy have always gone together, so we offer a gourmet market with stalls selling lamb, duck breast, beef and pork, which go perfectly with Pecharmant wines. On this occasion, you can get to know most of the winegrowers and their wines at a single price.

The meal will be accompanied by musical entertainment organised by the Pompa Swing group from Bergerac.

We will also be broadcasting the final of the Top 14 on a big screen.

Where and when will this gigantic evening take place?

On Friday 28 June at the Château du Roc in the heart of the Pecharmant!
